As I'm nearing graduation I'm becoming more and more thankful for everyone around me. I've made the best friends I've ever had these last two years of my high school career. Although there is no doubt that I will miss my wonderful family this coming fall, I am so ecstatic about getting to be a part of the University of Arkansas. It's the next step in my journey and I'm so ready to get it started.

New Things Coming
Got a Macbook Air today! I'm in love with it and hoping to be able to blog a lot more with better capabilities. The only issue I have so far is not getting my iTunes to play. It appears as if the music is there, it's just not playing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Human Reason
I've come to realize that human reason can justify anything. It is not a reliable source of truth. If we have committed a sin, we will always come up with a million reasons why we were not in the wrong. This is a human trait that can't be prevented but maybe stinted. If we take a few days to relish what happened and wallow in self-pity, then maybe it will be easier to take the initiative to take credit for our actions.
Stand up to your sins.
Love Always

Christmas Time is Here
5 days until Christmas!!! I hope you have all of your shopping done :) Most importantly though, I hope that you strive to keep Christ in Christmas. After all, he is the reason for the season! There are many ways to do this. You can give charitable donations, stop using the term "Xmas", or simply show kindness. Say hello to the grumpy neighbor or give to the guy standing on the corner with a sign. Our world would so much of a better place if only we could learn to care for one another.

One Medium Suitcase
The first the thing to go into by bag would be my Precious Moments Bible. My grandma gave it to me when I was in Kindergarten and it was my first real bible. I would also always be able to read the word of God no matter where I went.
I would also take a family photo because my family is the most important thing in my life. If I couldn't be with them I would at least want to be able to look at them and remember the good times.
A softball from Joe's would have to be in my bag as well. Joe recently passed away but he taught me so many things that apply to both softball and life that it's not even funny.
My charm bracelet would have to go as well. My mom gave it to me for my 16th birthday. I've gotten a new charm for it for every big event since then. It would help me to remember the good times.
On a more practical note, I would pack some shoes. I'm weird about my feet. They can't tolerate pain so I would definitely need some shoes.
I would take one of the drawings my sister made me. She is always drawing something and tends to give at least three pictures a day. It's a little bit annoying but it's something that would remind me of what she was like and what she enjoyed doing.
I would take the book "Horns and Wrinkles" because it's one of my favorite books. It keeps me wondering about what could happen despite the closed mindedness of our society.
One of my dad's softball hoodies would go in as well. Softball is how my dad and I bond so it would remind of how close we are.
The ring I was given from my great grandma would be thrown in too. It's beautiful and means so much to me because no one else was given anything before her passing.
Lastly I would throw in a swim suit. If I was leaving and never coming back I would make sure I made it to the beach at least one last time.

Yellow Star
Being ranked within the to ten- Even though I've never been number one, I still find it rewarding to be ranked.
Placing second in the world series- It was the first time I'd been on a team that was successful in a big tournament.
Getting inducted into NHS- I worked really hard on my application, so it was a huge relief when I found out I got accepted.
Passing my drivers test- I have so much more freedom now!
Completing my lifeguard training- I was so nervous going into it that didn't now if I was going to be able to finish the swim tests but once I got going it wasn't difficult at all.
Getting my first job- It makes me feel even more dependent because I don't have to ask my parents for money any more.
Passing the Mr. French's cell project with flying colors- That was one of the hardest projects I've ever had to do and it was awesome when I found out I got a 95.
Getting All-Conference and District in softball- It was rewarding to know that my hard work is starting to pay off.
Winning our sectional game- We had a really rough start to our season so it was cool not only to win but to see how far we had come over the course of the season.
Being elected a Student Council Officer- I've always been a class officer but its pretty cool to get to be an officer of one of the biggest clubs at our school.

2.Getting inducted into NHS
3.Completing my lifeguard training
